How do I know whether I need IVF?
IVF is one of several fertility treatment options. The right path depends on your age, how long you have been trying, the cause of infertility, egg reserve, sperm reports and any previous treatment. Our specialist will assess these and explain all options, including simpler treatments where suitable.
Does IVF guarantee a pregnancy?
No fertility treatment can guarantee pregnancy. Results vary from person to person and cycle to cycle. Your doctor will explain realistic chances based on your age and reports.
What is the difference between IVF and ICSI?
In IVF, eggs and sperm are placed together in the lab so fertilisation can happen naturally. In ICSI, a single sperm is injected directly into each egg. ICSI is often advised when sperm count or movement is low.
Can male factors cause infertility?
Yes. Male factors are involved in many cases of infertility, which is why we usually recommend that both partners are tested.
